All Things Are Not Equal: Dentures Versus the World

Dentures vs. Dental Implants
How did dentures become the punch line of dental solutions? At some point, humorists must have won the battle against the image dentures conjure in people’s minds.

How Stable Are Your Dental Implants?

Using modern technology, the dental implant specialists at Smile in the City can help you get your crowns as early as three weeks!

So your dentist has determined that you’re a candidate to replace missing teeth with dental implants, whether due to decay or injury. You have healthy bone that is the proper height and thickness necessary to support the implant, and you’re ready to improve your smile! Now what?

Hockey, Tooth Loss and Dental Implants

Losing almost all of your teeth in a single incident can be a devastating experience. But for Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith, losing seven teeth is simply a bump in the icy road toward a hockey championship. During Game 4 of the West Conference Finals in the fight for the Stanley Cup, Keith lost seven teeth when a hockey puck hit his mouth during a play. Despite the loss of teeth, Keith was able to return to the game to help the team sweep the San Jose Sharks with a final score of 4-2.

DR. ZELIG’S TRIP TO ISRAEL!

Two weeks ago, towards the end of November, I traveled to Israel to attend the International Implantology Conference in Eilat, Israel. This conference is held by the Israeli Association of Oral Implantology.

PATIENT PROGRESS

Our office is proud of the fact that we are able to accommodate our patients’ needs. One of our patients, Alan, has a very busy schedule so the team came in this Sunday especially for him. Our specialists began a dramatic makeover of his upper jaw. His lower jaw was completed earlier this year, and he decided to go ahead and finish his full mouth reconstruction by moving forward with all necessary treatment for the top. Under I.V. Sedation, both Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Zelig expertly transformed his smile with multiple implants and temporary crowns.
