Nargiz Schmidt, D.D.S.
Dr. Nargiz Schmidt is a prosthodontist – a specialist in reconstructive, aesthetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Schmidt received her doctoral degree from SUNY at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine with numerous awards for academic and clinical achievements in pharmacology, clinical dentistry, and biochemistry.
After spending two years in private practice as a general dentist, Dr. Schmidt went on to become a specialist in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. She was accepted into the New York University College of Dentistry advanced education in prosthodontics. Dr. Schmidt learned the art and science of prosthodontics and aesthetic dentistry from some of the best specialists in the country. Following the completion of this 3-year, full-time program, Dr. Schmidt received certification as a Prosthodontist.
Today Dr. Schmidt shares her time between private practice and her responsibilities as visiting clinical professor of prosthodontics at New York University. With vast knowledge in complex dental restorations and rehabilitation, Dr. Schmidt often serves as a consultant to general dentists and other dental specialists and receives referrals from them.
Dr. Schmidt is devoted to her profession and never stops learning innovative techniques and materials available in today's dentistry. She is certified in Invisalign - a system that uses clear, removable aligners to gradually move teeth, as well as Lumineers - non-invasive porcelain laminate veneers. Using this advanced dental technology, she can transform your smile painlessly and without removal of tooth structure.
As a prosthodontist, Dr. Schmidt is sensitively attuned to the aesthetic and functional concerns of her patients. She combines her scientific background with an artistic eye to bring the highest quality of personalized care to each of her patients. Dr. Nargiz Schmidt is a caring, gentle and understanding professional. She will listen to your concerns and will address each and every of them in her treatment.

Joseph Zelig, D.D.S
DIPLOMATE, AMERICAN BOARD OF PERIODONTOLOGY
Dr. Zelig is actively involved in teaching Periodontics & Implant Dentistry to other dentists and specialists. His current position as the Executive Director of the New York Center for Advanced Dental Education, allows him to share his expertise. Dr. Zelig spends a great deal of his time lecturing, educating, and training General dentists and Specialists. Dr. Zelig also serves on the Advisory Committee of the Dental Implant Training Center in New Jersey.
Dr. Zelig is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry where he ranked among the top 10% of the graduating class. As a result of his exceptional scholastic achievements, Dr. Zelig was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society.
After completing dental school, Dr. Zelig continued his training at New York University for an additional 3 years post-graduate training in periodontics. During his training, Dr. Zelig learned the art and science of periodontics and implantology from some of the best periodontists in the country.
Dr. Zelig also holds a permit in intravenous conscious sedation from the New York State Board of Dentistry and is fully trained and qualified to perform I.V. Sedation.
Board Certification
Dr. Zelig is a Board Certified Periodontist and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the educational requirements of the specialty. In addition to the educational requirements, Board Certification requires:
- Comprehensive oral and written examinations covering all phases of periodontal diseases and conditions, including dental implants.
- Presentation of detailed reports on broad range of actual treatment personally provided by the periodontist.
Dr. Zelig has been examined by a panel of internationally respected peers and has been awarded Diplomate status. He has received one of the highest recognitions afforded by his specialty. By successfully completing this challenge, he has demonstrated:

Dr. Zelig has also given presentations at the Greater New York Dental Convention, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists, and the Metropolitan Periodontal Symposium.
Dr. Zelig is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists, the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and the American Federation of Musicians (He is also a professional musician).
Dr. Zelig possesses a warm and friendly "chair-side" manner, and it is his innate warmth, patience and sincerity that makes the difference in his care.

Dr. Dov Hook is an Endodontist, which is a root canal specialist.
Dr. Hook graduated with honors from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he ranked among the top 10% of his graduating class. As a result of exceptional academic achievements, Dr. Hook was accepted into the prestigious OKU Dental Honor Society. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Hook attended a general practice dentistry and then completed a two year Advanced Education Program in Endodontics at the UMDNJ.
With the lengthy education that Dr. Hook has received, he is able to perform all aspects of root canal therapy including routine as well as complex root canals, retreatments, and endodontic surgery.
Dr. Hook will impress you with a high level of skill and technical abilities. He employs the latest equipment and techniques to provide a predictable, pain-free and expedient experience. Dr Hook has a warm and caring bedside manner and is sensitive to his patients' needs.
